Loved As You Are

You are unique.
There’s only one you.
Do I tell you that I love you enough?
Enough so that you remember
the truth of who you are on days when
the world isn’t kind?
I don’t love you for what you do,
what kind of success you have in life,
how well you do on an exam or in the game.
I love you for who you are,
as you are.

Let that sink in for a moment.

You are loved as you are,
for just being inherently you.

Today, carry that with you.
You are loved as you are.
You don’t need to do anything to
earn my love.

You are loved.
You are cherished.
Always.
