At the Start of the Day

Kindle the light within you.
Let your breath become vibrant.
Stretch your body – reaching for the sky
and then bowing to the earth.
Let your movements build to be strong
and slowly generate heat.
Gently circle the neck and shoulders,
swirl the hips, wrists and ankles.
Soften the muscles in the face.
Lift from the back of your heart
up to the heavens.
Feel the light of your heart pulsing
stronger, more vibrantly.
Bow again to the earth.
Massage your whole body with
your loving hands.
Surrender to grace and
the light within you – vowing
to see the light in others.
