Guided Meditation: Self-Compassion

(1 customer review)

This beautiful practice is the foundation for “filling your bucket” in order to extend compassion to others around you.  Heal the “inner bully,” the harshness, and the overwhelm.  And live from your heart.

Ideas for Using the Self-Compassion Meditation:

  1. When you wake up, give yourself a few minutes to connect with your heart and extend these well-wishes of lovingkindness to yourself that orient your attention and focus for the day.
  2. When you are having a hard time, something is triggering you, put your hand on your heart and say something like, “This is hard right now.  May I be gentle with myself.”
  3. At the end of the day, take just a few minutes to reconnect with your heart and notice how your day was.  Extend gentleness and kindness to yourself before drifting off to sleep.

Lisa, thank you so much for the gift of your light through this meditation. I needed just a few minutes to be kind to myself and your voice was the perfect guide. It is just the right length for those mornings that don’t allow for a 30 minute meditation; it is those mornings when I most definitely NEED to take the time. Thank you so much!
